Shalom Tips 3

Shalom measurement schematic. All measurements taken with garment flat, front edges overlapping. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have trouble figuring this out or you need any additional information.

Tip:

Compare the measurements above to your favorite fitting yoked sweater. Figure out where you would like to add/subtract stitches and rows.

finished one Shalom ,which turned out great!Crocheted around armhole to take out bend. Now want to make it for size 4-6 person,so I need to reduce shoulders a little, but she is busty, so don't want to make the entire sweater smaller-any ideas? Fran @FranS120@aol.com

I'm having trouble with row 46.
K5,P to first armhole, cast on 15 stitches,P to second armhole....

How many stitches do I purl to get to the first armhole? Then to the second armhole?

Please forgive my ignorance. I'm fairly new to knitting but I really want to make this for my daughter's birthday.
Thank you.

K5 (band) P to where you casted off the stitches for the arm hole on the previous row. Cast on 15 stitches then continue with stitches on left needle P to where you cast off again cast on 15 P to the last 5 stitches and the K5.

I've made 2 of these cardigans, but that was 2 yrs. ago. I shared this pattern with a friend and she has questions re: Row 55. I think I remember having the same ?? she is asking me now.As you read like 55, you are to knit up to one stitch before the marker..S2Kp2..but what does one do with the marker? Both of my sweaters turned out nicely, both were gifted.I simply don't remember what I did with the marker..

I have the same question as Claudette--the decreases on line 55 will have a marker in the middle. Also, should the 2nd decrease be after the 2nd marker, rather than before it, for symmetry?

I have the same question as the last two about Row 55 and the marker, (1) what to do with it because it seems to be in the middle of the 2 slipped stitches and (2) when I get to the next round of S2KP2, the decrease moves over one stitch. Is this right?

Thank you so much for providing this pattern for free! I hope that I can adjust it so it will fit my larger frame.

HI, I have the same comment about row 55. I did the first S2KP2, but when I get to row 63, I'm not sure when to do this stitch? The marker was in between the two stitches that I was slipping, so I removed it and put it back. Please help.
also, I'm a 34, but I'm hoping based on the needle I'm using that this will fit. However, should I remove some of the "repeat row 55" would that make the bodice a little larger?

Thanks! I'm enjoying this so far. I will post pics.
