And I'm back!

I'm back from Israel, and have a knitting surprise to share! It wasn't all-work-no-knitting, after all, despite my blog silence. I had enough free time to whip up a lovely version of Heidi Kirrmaier's Buttercup sweater. I followed her modifications for the second version with longer sleeves and ribbing bands. I also knit it in a smaller gauge with Frog Tree Alpaca Fingering weight wool. I'm extremely pleased with how the sweater fits, and the clarity of the instructions.

Here's the ravelry link to the sweater, for you knitters out there.

oh, I wished I could knit like you! but there are so many things to do in a day that I don't have the time for knitting for myself..I sometimes knit for my baby, but that's all...

I didn't know you were a conservator? I studied archaeology, but never worked as an archaeologist,(but many friends of mine do, and some are conservators too)
I do work in a museum now, although it has nothing to do with archaeology...

I'm glad you're back!
And you made a lovely sweater! As always ;)

Beautiful! I'm jealous. I started Collin's slippers, but not much progress yet. xoxo Suzanne

Wow, that's beautiful! I just found your blog through Wardrobe Refashion (which I'm obsessed with and inspired by and sew from but haven't joined or posted...) and coolest of all, you're in Jerusalem. I'm in Ra'anana, and I lived in Jerusalem for 5 years too. Woo hoo, I'm not the only Israeli re-fashioner/knitter. Oh and I love the sweater. And I agree, it's WAY too warm for it at the moment.

Lovely to meet you.....x

Welcome back!! And I adore your Buttercup! I made a worsted weight, cotton, short sleeved version earlier this summer, but would LOVE a cooler-weather version like yours. The color is so pretty, too!

Gorgeous sweater & a great look on you! I'm so inspired by your projects, but after my last (and first) sweater project I've regressed. I'm working on a washcloth right now!
