Vintage patterns too fabulous for words.

These gorgeous, architectural dress patterns are from the 1957 Vogue Pattern Catalog

. It's not so much that I want to own all these patterns immediately, it's more that I'd like my closet to already be full of unique, gorgeous outfits like these, so that I too can look completely fabulous all the time.

about a month ago soulemama led me to your shalom cardigan. posthaste, i printed the instructions and started unraveling a jacket i knit a year ago, in a distorted size but nice yarn. and for the first time in my life, i defeated impatience and knit a couple of test inches to adjust your pattern according to my needle + yarn size.
and voila! for the first time in my life, i knit something that fits. fits well, and i love it!

I am a new reader to your blog and have really enjoyed me first perusal! I was introduced to it by a post on Soule Mama. I enjoying knitting also, especially now that I am learning to knit outside of scarves and blankets! Right now I love making hats and learning new stitches but your shalom sweater has inspired me!
