I know this is unrelated to this post....but I don't know where else to ask this about the Shalom Cardigan. I am trying to make a swatch right now. And I am a bit of an amateur.But I was confused whether I want my gauge to be 13 stitches per inch width wise or 20 rows to make 4 inches lengthwise. Please help me understand that part. Thanks for the free pattern. It will be my first sweater when I can get started with it. :)

Fun! I love how all the images are illustrated, rather than photographed as they often are now.
I love those collars, its nice to see variations. I would love to be able to design knits based on those collars!
