I bought a whole pattern book for a sweater similar to the one above. I still haven't made it, and actually have kind of a love/hate relationship with the look of it. It's certainly compelling somehow. This particular pattern book has some
very interesting styling choices.
Speaking of which, I've seen the image below several times, and it always makes me do a double take.
Apparently
this coat comes in sizes both for yourself and your mini-self. Gotta love those early photoshop attempts!

That looks like it is full of some fun patterns! I like the blanket, quite in fashion to crochet those at the moment.
Wow, that certainly is a double-take inducing photo!
Notice that every picture has the models looking up at the sky? Are they scanning for UFOs? Maybe they're watching the turkey that the man on the other book shot down.
Ack! That mini-me totally took me by surprise, and I laughed out loud when I realized what was going on. I am still laughing out loud, actually. And interesting styling choices is right...I especially like the white cabled hat thing. What the heck is that?? It hardly even fits on her head!!
That photo is hilarious! The things they came up with! I actually really like that sweater with the leaf pattern. It's cute, with the 3/4 sleaves. The only problem I have with it is the neckline. A little too high for me.
I'm with Hilary. What a hoot! Every time I think about the "mini-me" I giggle.
I tell you, your posts are the best. I don't jump ahead or scroll to have it all on full screen. That would take away the suspense and thrill that is your intuitive intrique of any and all subject matter. Good stuff!
P.S., Comments are fun, too, aren't they? UFOs? Delicious. The thought would never have crossed my mind. Life is good!
I just love thoose vintage patterns!
The blue leaves cardigan I am for some reason drawn to, not sure why as I am sure I would not want a two trails of leaves up the front of me, but still . . .
The mini-me is a little odd.
Hello! It was great to meet you at Congress last night! Sorry to be such a starstruck geek. Let me know if you want to get together and knit sometime and talk Hyde Park.
Take care, Erin (erin@uchicago.edu)
