I am pleased to announce that the Shalom Cardigan pattern has been translated into French by Chaton mignon, from bazookatz. She did a wonderful job creating a new PDF with a mix of my pattern and her own lovely work. Un grand merci à elle! To get your very own copy of the French pattern, click here or visit the sidebar to the right.
If anyone would like to translate Shalom into another language, you are most welcome to do so. Please let me know so I can properly credit and link to your translation.

How exciting!
Meghan goes global! Congratulations. I imagine it must give you great pleasure, both to see your design used by so many other knitters and to have it cross cultures and languages.
Hi! I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to knit my own version of Shalom. My blog is in Norwegian, but I guess pictures are readable in all languages. Thank you for a brilliant cardigan!
Hi,
I want to make this sweater next but was wondering how much yarn to purchase, how many yards did you use?
Thanks!
Hi there anonymous: I used about 440 yards for mine.
I saw your cardigan made up in a local (OH) yarn store--it is wonderful. But I am of the earth-mother girth and wonder if there is any chance of a plus rendition? Keep up the good work, in any case. I share your fascination with vintage patterns and hope someday to do something with my mother and grandmother's patterns that sit just waiting:-)
Hi Annie,
Thanks for your interest! I'd love to see many plus-sized shaloms out there. Some larger sizes have been knit up and can be found on Ravelry, with notes. I have no plans to rework shalom in other sizes at this time--I'm on to new things, but I'm fully confident that you'd be able to upsize the pattern with a bit of math and some measurements on a sweater with a round yoke. Good luck!

Here is my try at it... changed the yarn and somewhat erred in the gauge - so it is a little too large but I like it all the same. Thanks for the pattern ... happy 2009
Thanks for the pattern, I loved knitting it.
Here's my version. The colors are a bit off in the photo ( wintertime photography is hard in the north).
I am knitting the Shalom now. I have made calculations to make it a women's XL. I am just crossing my fingers in hopes that it will turn out to fit me. Is there a version of the shalom already written for larger sizes?
Please let me know if anyone has converted the shalom cardi to larger sizes
Hi!
A few months ago, I wrote a review about your wonderful pattern on my blog, just as long as it links back to the spanish version and Involving the Senses on the page. Now the spanish version is no longer available (the domain name expired) and I wonder if I can re-write the spanish version to my readers because they constantly ask me about Shalom Cardigan in spanish.
Thanks and Greetings.
Thanks, the spanish version is available: http://www.tejerbien.com/2009/09/shalom-by-meghan.html
